You did it!

May 14 was a beautiful day for a special election, and Melissa Murphy brought it home by a solid margin!

Congratulations to Melissa for running a strong campaign focused on core issues that affect us all.

Voter turnout was a remarkable 29%!

3,295 residents showed up and delivered a winning 54% of the votes for Melissa, who takes a holistic view of issues in relation to each other; and represents all of our best interests rather than placing a narrow focus on identity groups and the politics of perpetual grievance.

Thanks also to Tara Gregory for stepping up twice—not easy—and showing great care for the town.

Thank you, Reading Votes

So many of you came together to make this happen. Thank you for distributing flyers, contacting family and friends, hoisting signs, and more.

We have worked together and succeeded in building a common-sense dominated Select Board—no small feat!

We hope this victory cheers and emboldens you. We’ve got the momentum to make serious progress on the key issues facing this town. More to come on that.

But this week, celebrate!

Sincerely,
